Mandy Duffin
Senior Area Manager

With over 30 years working in the food service industry, including running her own successful business and a stint as a senior food service manager at Waitrose. Mandy leads the team of Area Managers that deliver a customer focussed, professional service in Rugby, Central and South Warwickshire and the surrounding areas. Looking to build strong, lasting business relationships with clients, she is passionate about supporting our teams to excel and share best practice throughout Educaterers. “My first primary school cook, Mrs. Higginson, was a better cook than my mum and inspired me to seek a career in the food industry."

My favourite school dinner:

"Faggots, peas and gravy, followed by chocolate cracknel with a swirl of mint icing on the top."

Beverley Hart
Senior Area Manager

Bev has spent the last 12 years of her 25 year career in catering and hospitality, working in the education sector. She has a wealth of experience which she uses to lead a team of Area Managers in the north of the region. With a strong work ethic and a determination to succeed, Bev is always focussed on delivering the best possible service to our customers.

My favourite school dinner:

"Cheddar cheese and potato pie"

Annette Begley
Local Area Manager – South

Annette is a long serving manager with over 19 years’ experience in education and corporate catering. Annette is a hands on manager who enjoys organising the day to day service delivery in her schools to ensure Educaterers always offers a flexible, enjoyable, healthy and nutritious meal experience.

Yvonne Buckley
Local Area Manager – Central and North

Yvonne says the best part of her job is “being part of the successful Educaterers team”. With over 26 years’ experience in the school food industry, some of which was spent in a training role, Yvonne is constantly looking to develop the services offered to her clients and particularly enjoys meeting our young diners to find out what they think about the food and services we offer.

Lisa Cleaver
Local Area Manager – Rugby and East of the Region

An energetic, established manager with a strong and adaptive leadership style, Lisa has a proven track record in the catering industry starting out as a chef before moving into multi-site management. Level headed, result driven with sound organisational skills, Lisa particularly enjoys mentoring and supporting individuals to develop and reach their full potential.

My favourite school dinner:

"Quorn steak stir fry with noodles and sweet chilli sauce followed by a tiffin biscuit."

Gill Dodd
Local Area Manager – South Central

Gill has spent 10 years of her 25 year career as an Area Manager in the school food sector and is passionate about delivering an excellent quality service for all our customers. Gaining a professional qualification through the Catering Equipment Suppliers Association, Gill also works with Educaterers’ Head of Operations, Pat Hughes to advise clients on kitchen planning and equipment procurement.

My favourite school dinner:

"Macaroni cheese followed by apple crumble and custard"

Jane Malam
Local Area Manager – Rugby and East of the Region

Jane currently looks after a team of over 80 staff across her area, starting 19 years ago as a mobile catering supervisor, her passion and her determination to deliver an excellent, quality service has seen her go from strength to strength since her appointment to the management team in 2005. Jane recognises that food innovation is at the core of everything we do and believes that Educaterers’ offer represents great value for money too.

My favourite school dinner:

"Cheesy pasta to start with a tasty crumble and custard for dessert"

Sharon McKee
Local Area Manager – North

Sharon has progressed through the company from catering assistant to area manager, looking after 16 contracts across the north of the region, since she joined us in 1995. She has seen the service change significantly during this time, with the focus being all about the quality of ingredients, flexibility of the service, and the development of a range of menus and service styles that meet the needs of our school clients and young customers alike.

My favourite school dinner:

"Vegetable curry followed by the ever popular homemade crumble and custard."

Liz Peat
Local Area manager – North

Liz enjoys working closely with her clients to develop new concepts and services in their schools, to ensure that the highest standards of service are delivered at all times. Prior to joining Educaterers, Liz worked in hospital catering management and also had a career as a college lecturer, passing on her passion for food and cooking to the next generation of chefs and restauranteurs.

"Hedge in the grass, otherwise known as chocolate cracknel in mint custard."

Zelma Reader
Local Area Manager – North

One of the roles of an area manager is to carry out audits and monitoring visits to ensure the service we provide meets our high standards. Zelma really relishes this role across her contracts, ensuring that her teams are supported to deliver the best of what we do and her clients know that they can be confident in the knowledge that their pupils and wider school community will enjoy great food and service everyday. It’s what we do.
